Erudite Gym
Erudite Gym is a quiz application operated by Ivan Manokha. If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us:
Account data. When you create an account you choose a username (a pseudonym — we never ask for your real name or email address) and a password. Your password is stored only as a bcrypt hash; the original password is never retained. You may optionally provide your country of residence. No other personal information is collected at sign-up.
Quiz activity. For each question you answer we record: which question it was, which answer option you selected, whether it was correct, the category (e.g. History, Science), the difficulty setting, and the timestamp. This record is used to drive your spaced-repetition review queue and your leaderboard scores.
Spaced-repetition review queue. We track which questions you have answered incorrectly and calculate when to show them to you again. This scheduling data (interval length, review counts) is stored alongside your account.
Leaderboard scores. We compute and store points, accuracy, and ranking data derived from your quiz activity. This data is used to populate the in-app leaderboards.
Saved quiz sessions. If you pause a quiz in progress, we temporarily store the current question list and your answers so you can resume later. This data is deleted when you resume the session or delete your account.
Notification status. We record which in-app announcements you have already read so we do not show them to you again.
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics services, or third-party tracking tools. We do not set cookies.
We do not use your data to send you marketing emails, serve advertisements, or share it with data brokers.
Your chosen username, your score, your accuracy statistics, and (if you provided one) your country are visible to all users of the app on the public leaderboard. No other information is made public. Your internal account identifier is never included in leaderboard data.
If you do not wish to appear on the leaderboard, you can delete your account (see below). A leaderboard visibility toggle is planned for a future update.
Supabase. Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase, Inc. (United States). Supabase acts as a data processor under our instruction and is contractually bound to use your data only to provide the database service. See supabase.com/privacy.
We self-host all fonts (DM Sans and Playfair Display) inside the app. The app makes no requests to Google Fonts, analytics providers, advertising networks, or any other external service.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate: all records linked to your account — including your username, quiz history, leaderboard scores, review queue, saved sessions, and notification reads — are hard-deleted from our database. There is no recovery period and no soft-delete.
You may also request deletion by emailing us at the address above.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, or to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address above. Account deletion (which removes all data) is also available directly in the app.
Erudite Gym is not directed at children under 13 (United States) or under 16 (European Union and United Kingdom). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We will post any material changes to this policy at this URL, updating the date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
